AWE Touring and test pipes

I’m sure this has been covered in one of the various test pipes threads, but I’m wondering if anyone has experience with AWE touring and test pipes? I currently have test pipes and AWE touring with a Magnaflow 11385 welded into my downpipes. It’s not a bad setup and I don’t have any drone, but it tends to be pretty mellow. I am wondering if anyone has experience with test pipes, and either resonated or non-resonated downpipes coupled with AWE touring? If so, is there any drone? Any sound clips would also be appreciated. Ultimately, I’m looking for something a little more aggressive but without drone. Maybe what I have is about the best I am going to get?

Also, for reference my car is a 6 MT.

So I know with my setup, I’ve been told it’s the loudest setups some have heard before. I run jhm test pipe to stock dp to awe track exhaust and I’m currently in the process of getting some vibrant bottle resonators so I can get rid of the drone and rasp since it’s pretty bad

I would keep reson dps and rear track section.it will loud up things and remain relatively quiet...per say!!

If you don’t have drone my bet is you will if you keep playing.

@KRp220 has had like every configuration possible I think. Hope I got his handle correct.

Thanks! Somehow I missed this but I think it confirms that I should stick with what I have. Seems that if I were to shoot for anything more aggressive I would end up dealing with drone which is a show stopper.

Sorry for the sort-of necro, but do you have any audio clips of your exhaust? I want to run a similar setup, but curious how it sounds with stock DP, or if I like the sound better if I had a res'd AWE DP.

In the next few months I should be up and running with headers and the AWE resonated DP touring exhaust… sound clips will be posted and a review of any drone/rasp etc. (I understand headers will produce a different result from manifold to test pipe…)
