I looked at this 2015 S4 today which is priced very well.

The carfax shows that it may have had frame damage. The car was very clean and drove well, with the exception of a small clunk from the front end when going up a driveway or a rough road. The dealership was extremely eager to sell the car. They said they checked out the car as it was a local trade in and they did not notice any issues on their inspection. They also mention it comes with a third party warranty (who knows how good that is).

I did enjoy driving the car and feel it is priced well. The bluetooth worked well however the audio system was mediocre. The MMI interface is a bit clunky. I am coming from a leased 2019 BMW 440xi and want to get something to drive 15-18k miles per year as a commuter. Thoughts?

I would stay away. Notice both owners AFTER the frame damage had been reported only kept the car for a very short time. Most likely one of the reasons dealership is very eager to sell. I would worry if there is damage on frame reported and dealership can’t say much on it.

In terms of the MMI, I do agree. It’s outdated and can feel clunky. I just recently purchased a unit that offers apple CarPlay which changes the MMI interface experience tremendously.

I don’t know too much about 3rd party warranty, so I can’t much on that.

The 2nd owner really only put 3k miles on it before selling haha.

B8 S4s aren't rare. Another one will pop up sooner or later and with minimal issues. Id pass on the headache and insurance trouble
