View Full Version : Has anyone installed a Bypass Oil Filter for your TDI engine oil?

I searched the forum for a bit and found a couple of posts from a few years ago, but they were looking to do this for the transmission fluid. Since the oil in Diesel engines help trap soot particles by design, has anyone successfully installed one in their TDI? If so, which brand? Size? Any issues?

Thanks in advance!

Doubtful there is a A6 TDI specific setup. You may have to go with a universal setup and DIY install.
I thought the bypass filtration was mostly for large diesel truck motors, but I suppose it could have benefits in all applications. Although I'd assume it would be most beneficial when installed on a brand new motor.

I'm seen that one and a couple of others ...(Kleenoil, Insane diesel). I figured I'd ask to see if anyone has tried.

For max protection, yes it would be better to install when new,, however, basen on the info I've found, any engine can benefit...
