I just got a 2012 A7 and one of the steering wheel control modules is lifting up, does anyone happen to know how to or if it can be resecured? I don't see any type of adhesive or clip but it is only a little up and doesn't seem to want to lift all the way out easily. 211265

it is held on on the under side of that control buttons, with mushroom type fitment, should be able to press it down easily into the steering wheel. watch this video, long winded but very thorough, https://youtu.be/L7BrjzYMp_k?t=419

or you may have to remove airbag, then the trim and then reinstall to make sure it stays down.

Thanks for this reply. It looks like the mushroom side of the connector has broken off. I suppose now I try superglue or replace that control unit?

I wonder how well it will stay flush to the trim if you glue it down? If it doesn't stay on its own and needs the friction of the mushroom to hold the buttons so that it stays tight, I'd replace it. The buttons part can be bought separately, there's a parts number usually on the back of it
