Maxton Design Side Skirts

Has anyone installed these yet? If so, I need some help. I installed the front lip and rear spoiler extension with no problem but I cannot figure out these skirts. First, how do they line up? Are they supposed to flare towards the back or are they pretty even the length of the car? Also, where did you drill the self tappers? I cannot get them to catch on anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the tip but I don’t think it is a hardware issue. I tried using longer self tappers and it didn’t make a difference. I think it is more user error and me being an idiot. These can’t be that difficult to install otherwise I would think people would be complaining. I just think I am doing something wrong and hoping it is a simple adjustment.

That’s exactly what I did but the self tappers weren’t pulling the skirt up and wouldn’t stay fastened in the molded section.

I will give it another shot tomorrow.

Would it be possible to get close up pictures of his installed? I would like to see how far they extend from the side of the car.

Resurrecting old thread.

Did this ever get figured out? I just got my skirts in yesterday and will be installing this week. I pulled down the underside panel and see where it is supposed to screw up in, and I even popped out one of the grommets to be sure there were no wires running in there. Seems pretty straight forward and I do plan on adding washers to the self tappers to make it a little stronger. Of course I will be making a vid for this like I have done all my other Maxton parts but wanted to make sure there were not "gotcha's" before I started on it.

Another thought, has anyone had to jack their car up with these on there? Seems that it mounts right up to the pinch weld and looks like it would be an issue?

Yeah, my body shop noticed that. They ended up notching about 10mm around the front jack point and all was clear.
