I need an engine and obviously noticed IE doesn't offer this program any longer and APR hasn't for a while. Are there any options at all or is everything pretty much going to be a DIY? Or anyone know someone selling one?

Check out A2B Motorsport in NJ.

They sell short blocks but, I do believe they could sell you a long block / crate engine.

They do a lot of custom work so I wouldn't be surprised if it would be something that they could do.

I think no one really does a long block, because for the most part the short block will get you into the 10's (and a little more work 9's).
From there you hopefully planned your money better, and decided that a 2.5T is a more logical direction to move towards with the money. The DCT and Haldex are more so the breaking points = $$$, where the 2.5T gets more stout drivetrain

I thought IE was still doing short blocks! thats weird most vendors still have it on their site :

They are exactly what I am looking forOur of curiosity what kind of build are you going for?

I plan on dumping 5k and then calling it a day.

I was looking at some electric components like in wheel motors, 48v compressor, and some other small stuff.

The 2.5 seems to be where it's at.

It just seems silly spending 10k extra to get lower peformance than a stage 2 S3 and then start building the 2.5 from there up.
