Hello all
I had a couple questions about service on my vehicle. I am going to be performing the automatic transmission service soon on my vehicle, which seems pretty straight forward. At the same time I am also going to service the other drive line components. This includes the front final drive, center differential, and rear final drive.
It is my understand that some Audi's have a center diff that shares fluid with the automatic transmission. I am under the assumption that on the 2016 USA model A7, the center diff does not share fluid and is instead serviced by replacing the gear oil (Audi part# G055145A2). Can anyone confirm this?
I also see that some Audi's have rear final drive units that require servicing via changing the 75w90 gear oil and changing the ATF. I am under the assumption that my vehicles rear final drive has only gear oil, so that is all that needs to be serviced. Can anyone confirm this?
I saw a couple threads about this but they were not in the C7 forums and people seemed to have different understandings. Would appreciate it if you all can provide me any additional clarity. [:D]
Thanks!
Edit: Can confirm that on the 2016 Audi A7 3.0T US model, the front final drive and center diff do not share fluid. The center diff fluid is VAG part no G055145A2.
