Well i noticed today when i was going over my a4 that my radiator cap has a oil mix on the bottom of the cap. I took it to my mechanic from german autoworks and came to the conclusion that it was the oil cooler. He quoted me 290 to replace and labor. Its alittle pricey for me right now so im wondering. Is it worth the money to have him do it? Or should i find the time/ and writeup and do it myself. I know the part would be around 100 to 150 not to mention ill have to completely flush my system and do a oil change. What do you guys think? Thanks.

i say do it yourself. why not take the chance to learn even more about your car. and i might need that write-up some day...with the way these damn things act up

yeah its getting bad my a4 is starting to really fall apart. Not only this has happened but something is ticking from my engine bay (prob timing belt or fan) my rear brake caliper needs to be replaced along with my rear shocks. All in the span of 3 months BAH!
