Hey everyone. I'm trying to install a JL W1 10" sub in a custom enclosure in my B8.5 S4 cubby. I have installed an L2CI and JL MX300.1 and hooked everything up. L2CI powers up, amp powers up. No sound from sub. No lights on L2CI except power, no accubass light. Signal going to Audiocontrol
is soldered from B&O sub wires. What gives, am I missing something?

Are one of the inputs polarity reversed? It's a dual voice coil signal and if one of them is reversed it will cancel out to zero before the LC2i but the LC2i will still sense the DC offest and send the turn on signal (this can also happed at the woofer if it's a DVC subwoofer and if it does don't run it that way for very long).

You can troubleshoot by disconnecting one of the inputs (or outputs).

It's just positive and negative wires from factory sub wires to left channel positive and negative of LC2I. I'm starting to think my processor is a dud. Something is funny. Not a DVC woofer, it's a JL W1 V3 2ohm single voice coil. Thank you for getting back to me.

Have you level matched it yet? You'll have 2 to set. First the LC2, then your amp. Do you have a DMM to accomplish this with? That will tell you if anything is coming out.

Never installed a signal processor. Maybe I should read more. I've done full systems in a 16V GTI, Corrado G60 (favorite car ever), a CR-V, Mustang Gt and a Cobra. Head units, amps, caps, crossovers etc. I guess I thought I knew too much. I think I'll do it the right way this time. I'll try and get the processor set on my lunch break tomorrow.

The unloaded channel may be shutting down the factory output.

Trust me it's makes sense.

So, got an RMA to send processor back and stopped playing with it for the weekend since my wife's birthday is today. Anyway, I decided to bridge the left channel to the right , ++ and -- on the input of the LC2I real quick. It came to life. The GTO function doesn't work very well. I bet the signal from my sub is weak. Tomorrow I'll find a good turn on source and set the levels. I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks for all the input.

Working perfectly. The trick was jumpering the positive and negative of the sub output to the left and right input channels of the L2CI. I wish Audiocontrol had more information on different options for hooking up their product. Gonna spend some time dialing in the system. I'll post a pic when it looks all nice and clean. Thanks for all the help.
