It’s not a vehicle that people typically tow with so the support to make a hitch that will fit just isn’t there. They are not going to make a product that will sell just a few pieces. And since the market for tow equipment isn’t there then car manufacturers may not take the effort to certify a platform to what it can tow. They certainly have the power and torque to do it but perhaps there something off about suspension that they don’t want to certify it for. Ford was selling the F150 Lightening at one point that had a supercharged V8 with lots and of power and torque, much more than the base V8 was making. The standard F150 was rated for over 5,000 lbs while the Lightening was rated for only 1,500 lbs. not really sure what was different that the more powerful platform was rated much lower for towing

Well it's nothing to do with the towbar been made especially for a rs6 as a normal a6 bar fits them as i had one fitted on a 2013 model so it must be a different reason..I'm in the uk by the way

Depends if you have DRC or Air? Air yes you can fit a towbar, DRC not possible- the DRC valves are mounted at the back where the towbar would be
