Hello everyone!

I have a 2014 Unitronic stage 1 Audi S6, and I've recently started having some issues with it. I've noticed the steering wheel has gotten more difficult to turn.. it sometimes pulls to the right a bit, mainly when I'm stopping, and I get steering wheel vibrations when accelerating hard or at around 1800-2000 rpm at any speed/gear. I also noticed the wheel can start to randomly pull when accelerating hard and is difficult to turn afterwards. I wasn't sure what this would be as I am relatively unfamiliar with the car's internals. Please let me know if you have any advice, thank you!

Motor mounts. Have someone rev it with foot on the brake, while the hood is up. If you see the engine moving abnormally or lifting towards the right side as this is the mount that usually goes bad. Well if you’re facing the engine it’ll be the side that’s on your left. The mount on the passenger side vehicle takes the upward force of the motor when accelerating. Due to the active engine mounts the design is structurally weaker than a traditional longitudinal engine mount. The mount will separate and you could get abnormal vibrations from when it switches into 4cyl mode while cruising. A hard pull while accelerating. That could be square one. The steering issue could be another in itself. I’d diagnose the pull & vibration first because I know how soon these things shit those mounts. Some S6’s & 7’s need engine mounts as soon at 15k miles.

Many people have busted mounts and aren't even aware. Only when they see purple goo on the driveway do they realize something is wrong.
If it pulls while braking, check the brakes and tires. Also check the control arms.
If it is generally difficult to turn check lane keep assist(if you have it), the steering rack, wheels and tires, and control arms again.
Any codes?
FWIW CoD is only active in 3rd gear or higher so that does not sound like the source of your vibration. Any recent work done?

If its pulling its steering rack, suspension or tire related. Possibly compound issues depending on how long this has been going on.

Bad motor mounts will simply cause unwanted vibration from lack of support and additional play from the driveline. They wouldn't have any impact on steering.

I believe with the S6 you can test the mounts if you have VCDS.

Pulling while braking is typically a front brake grabbing more than the other side.
