Just curious what was used besides the rivnuts that come with it?

Want to only do it 1x , my brother broke 1 of his with his Ecs plate and it rattled for months until they sent him another , Thor wants 21$ to ship 2 so that’s not happening lol.

I have what came in the kit but before I install it, are they any better alternatives than these rivnuts?

You definitely need the spacers, but you need to install rivnuts in the back to secure the bolts with the spacers.
An alternative, just off the top of my head, would be to weld 2 coupling nuts the same height as the spacer and fasten to those.
You could also buy your own rivet nuts and hand riveter instead of using their setup.
