Audi Q5 2014 Transmission on Audi A6 C7 2012

Has anyone done a transmission swap and put a newer transmission with a different code on their A6?

I bough a crashed Q5 for the engine but thinking of swaping the transmission in it too as this one has 60000km and mine from the A6 is 140000km.


I know they are different codes and stuff but wondering if it will still work? I can swap the TCU in it too if that will make it work


Please only answer if you know for sure, i dont have a lift and it will be a pain to remove the transmission again if it doesnt work.

At this point with no answers from the group maybe it would be better to talk with Your local Audi dealership techs.

I wish the guys at the dealership would be helpful but they have no idea about any thing. I asked them first if the engine from the Q5 will work in my A6 and they said No different engine code, but if you check on a parts catalog all the parts are the same between the 2 engine even tho different code. So now i don't know if the transmission will be the same.
