Just swapped out my 4-spoke heated non-paddle steering wheel for a 3-spoke heated paddle steering wheel, and everything went flawlessly, no codes, but i can't seem to figure out the coding to enable the shifters.

For starters, none of the bits have any descriptions, which isn't making things any easier.
I've read on a few pages that you check off bit 5 in byte 2, but when i save, it says value out of range.

My current coding is 000414.

Can someone with a 3-spoke heated wheel with paddles please let me know what their coding is?

Not a single person has a 3-spoke heated wheel with paddles and a ross-tech cable who can take 5 minutes to go read their code?

Paddles VCDS:

Go to 16 - Steering wheel module --> Coding --> Long Coding Helper --> Activated bit 5 in byte 2.
VCDS (VAGCOM) go to steering wheel module then byte2, then check bit 5

16 - Steering Wheel
07 - Coding
Long Coding Helper
Byte 2
Bit 5 (Tiptronic Installed)
Check the Box (Change from 0 to 1)

Good luck.

This is what i tried and it's giving me value out of range.

I have a 3-spoke heated wheel with paddles on my S6.
The long coding I have is:
0004FC
Bear in mind I also have ACC and Lane keep so they are in the coding mix as well.
My VCDS presents me with dropdown boxes for the options. I am not sure why yours does not. Are you using a legit cable and latest software? You screenshot shows old "ross-tech v1.0.7.6" Latest VCDS is 20.4.2.
Byte 2 = 11111100
Bits 2-3 is a dropdown for the ACC options
Bits 4-5 is a dropdown for the Tiptronic(paddle) options
Bits 6-7 is a dropdown for Lane keep assist options.

You would have gotten a better response had your asked in the VCDS thread.

I have the exact 4 spoke heated and intend to swap it out for the exact 3 spoke heated you bought. Is there anything you think I should know before doing this swap? Also did it go smoothly and did you figure out the coding to enable the paddles? Thanks!
