I have been informed that these ads are in violation of the rules here and are considered spam and unauthorized advertising. I am in the process of trying to find out how to post the ads while staying within legal limits here.

In the mean time you can check out this thread:

These are the items being offered for both B&O and non-B&O systems for all B8 and B8.5 models:

Center dash speaker kit
Outer dash speaker kit
Full front dash speaker kit (includes both outer speakers and center speaker)
Rear deck kit (B&O only)
Complete front dash and rear deck speaker kit (B&O only)
Mounting brackets (includes all mounting hardware)
Wiring harnesses (allows the aftermarket speakers to connect directly to the OEM wiring harness without any modification)
Complete DIY kits (everything but the speakers)

Check the link above for pricing details. You can send me a PM here or send me an email. My email address is shown in the pricing document at the end of the first post in the thread linked above.

Please note: I do not offer upgrades to the door speakers nor do I offer recommendations for speakers to use in the doors or the subwoofer. There are a multitude of options available for those locations as well as commercially available adapters for 6-1/2" speakers for the door woofers. I get asked these same questions all the time so I am posting this so I do not have to keep answering the same questions over and over again. If I had upgrades to these other speakers I would say so in this post or the price list.

I have recently learned that the factory connectors for the outer dash B&O speakers are different than the non-B&O speakers. I am looking into the possibility of getting the OEM connectors so I can make the kits plug and play for both B&O and non-B&O systems. Currently, only the non-B&O kits are plug and play. The center speakers for both B&O and non-B&O systems use the same connectors so they're still plug and play for both systems. Right now I can make up wiring harnesses for the B&O outer dash speakers with crimp connectors, but it means you will have to cut the connector from the factory wiring harness and use crimp connectors, which I will supply, to mate with the new speaker wiring harness. I am trying to find if there are adapters that will allow aftermarket speakers to connect to the B&O factory wiring harness without having to modify anything. I'll update this post and the various classified ad postings when I get more information so stay tuned.

Any luck finding the B&O connectors? If you find them, I'll immediately become a customer.

I believe I have found them and placed an order through Ali Express. It could take several weeks or more for them to arrive since they're coming from overseas. Someone sent me a PM and told me that he had purchased some connectors to use with his B&O system and they turned out to be the same ones that I ordered so I'm extremely hopeful that I'll be able to provide complete plug and play kits for both B&O and non-B&O systems in the very near future. I have multiple postings in the various forums here for these kits so I will be updating them all once I have confirmed that the connectors I ordered will work. I have ordered a used B&O speaker on ebay to check the fitment of the connectors to make sure they work. I would suggest holding off until I actually have the connectors in hand so I can provide the kits immediately upon receiving any more orders. I have at least four sets of speakers on hand and can always order more as needed.

Sorry for not posting this sooner. I have sourced the connectors for the B&O speakers so I can now offer complete plug and play dash speaker upgrade kits for both B&O and non-B&O systems. I have the connectors on hand as well as several sets of speakers. Any orders placed usually go out the same day unless it's on a weekend, in which case it will go out first thing Monday morning.

Bruce Miranda and I both bought a set of speaker harness adapters and his came with the correct red and black polarity but mine came reversed. Always check them before installing.

Thanks for the tip. The connectors I bought aren't color coded. I just bought the connectors to use with my upgrade kits, not cable harnesses. However, I did purchase a set of four extension harnesses that had both a male and female connector on each end so I could see if they mated with the B&O speaker. I bought a used B&O midrange driver on ebay to make sure the connectors I bought were the right ones and they are. I matched up the wiring with the terminals on the OEM speakers to make sure they were correct before assembling them. I also confirmed this based on postings in this thread (https://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/759815-The-definitive-stereo-and-subwoofer-upgrade-thread). The terminals on the center channel speaker aren't marked so I had to do the battery test to confirm which was the positive terminal. Connect a battery to the two terminals and observe the diaphragm. If it extends outwards the terminal connected to the positive side of the battery is the positive speaker terminal. I confirmed this using one of the other speakers that was marked to make sure they were connected with the proper polarity.

Yep that's how I determine the polarity of all the speakers until I got to the tweeters then it got more tricky. I ended up having to use a software program that sent pulses and then would tell me if it was positive or negative polarity. The good news is the tweeters are wired the same way as the mid-ranges as far as the polarity goes.

Audi tends to use the Negative in Pin 1 position for many things. Speakers, LEDs, 12V sockets etc.

That's good information if you happen to know the location of pin 1. [;)]

Look on the plugs themselves. All plugs, both male and female have pin numbers printed on them. Finding where they are printed is often a nice challenge in itself though.

I agree. If you look hard enough you can actually find the full part number molded into the connectors, but you may need to use a magnifying glass to see it. I never actually checked for the pin numbers. I just researched which pin was the positive connection and went from there.

Nope. None of the videos linked in the thread at AudiWorld are mine. There are lots of videos on YouTube for upgrading Audi speakers. I would never secure loudspeakers with zip ties. Everyone knows you should always use duct tape. [:D]
