Finally getting around to upgrading the stereo in my A4 and had a few questions that hopefully can be tackled here.
1.) Did all the A4s come with a center channel in the dash or just the Bose?
2.) Is there really an upgrade in audio quality when going from the Symphony 1 to 2+? I have the radio from an 07 installed but since the changer is sketchy at best now don't use that function so wondering if I'm losing anything by going back to the factory radio(I know I'll at least regain radio reception)
3.) Any good write ups on running cables through the car? Particular questions are removing the trim to run power and speaker wire
4.) If I wanted to run new speaker wire into the front doors(plan to leave the rears off the radio) is there enough room in the existing wire jacket between the door and car to do that and are the plugs at the ends molex and require drilling out a path for the wire?
And last question
5.) Is there space in the doors to install crossovers without being and issue or do I need to look elsewhere?
Sorry for all the questions. It's been quite a few years since I tackled an audio upgrade so want to try to plan it out so I know what I'm getting into and can tackle it all in 1 go once I start.
