View Full Version : Lower control arm bushing?

Hey guys,

I'm pretty sure my lower control arm bushing (passenger front) is going out. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Symptoms: fairly loud squeal (from the front passenger wheel well), when the wheels are turned to a full lock, usually in parking lots or 0-5mph.
I've already got a running list of things the dealer should look at (i.e. check the tie rods). Is there anything else that needs to get looked at?

Thanks in advance.[wrench]

I could be wrong, but I don't know if the bushings inside the control arms squeak. I do know that the bushings for the sway bar do. Your control arms usually make a "popping" noise (as mine do).

Is the stealership looking/inspecting your vehicle because it is under warranty? If not, be aware that they might charge you an hour's worth of labor for the inspection. Hope this helps...[:)]

could be a wheel bearing.
