Hello All,
Anyone here using this product https://www.vismotorsport.com/product-page/oil-pump-balance-shaft-delete-kit?
I would like to hear from you before making a purchase. 175$ for just a bearing and a pulley seems to be a bit steep but I don't know if anyone else if offering this.

This freewheel will be my future precautionary maintenance when my car hits 200k miles. 1200$ isnt worth spending on new pump at that time.
This doesn't even required to remove oil pump from the block. Drop subframe, remove oil pan, balance shaft bolt and pulley, drop this in and done.

i didn't drop subframe, i lifted the engine a bit with a engine lift to get to the one damn bolt holding the sump just between engine a box. Can the frame be dropped and keep wheel aligements intact?

When I say dropping it, I mean removing only the front 4 bolts not the rear ones. I do it this way to avoid running into risks like aluminum pan fractures when lifted from under neath.
I usually make paint circle around the bolt before removing them. The alignment shop that I go to checks the alignment for subframe too and they charge 25$ extra for subframe alignment. If you are concerned about subframe alignment, go to a frame or autobody shop for alignment.

Get one from Wasamotor. Better quality, original, and ship worldwide. And very knowledgeable guys. Theyre an actual family owned machine shoo that does all in house R&D, and know what they are talking about and doing. Theyre in Sweden, but ship anywhere.

Jayz691 So, at your suggestion I visited the Wasamotor site this morning. They have a product for our engines that I haven't seen before that offers interesting possibilities for those experiencing low oil pressure. As I mentioned in a recent thread response low oil pressure quite often is the result of the failure of the by-pass valve in the oil pump unit which, up until now, was considered non-serviceable. This forced the purchase of a new $1700 oil pump/balance shaft unit. This site has a 'oil pump regulating valve' which replaces the one in the pump unit for under $200. This may present alternative and less expensive possibilities for those with oil pressure problems. Good find and worth looking into.

That price tag is the killer. It may take them 2-5$ to make it and adding R&D may take it to 80$ price tag for consumers. 200$ is straightup robbery

Dude, they are a full machine shop, that has been developing this for some time now. If you think its not worth $200 over buying a new pump, then idk what ta tell ya. Don't cost $2 ta make, lol....sorry, but ya don't have a clue..

But for normal use, its good to go. These guys are very knowledgeable with the 2.0tfsi, and they make sure they test everything extremely well, in house. Would def feel confident with it[emoji106] not sure if your on Facebook, but the guy Smiley Hannes Finnila is the man to talk to with any questions. He just joined our "b7 a4 club" group, and also in "tfsi tuning".

check out the prices pressure relief valves for Fords and Chryslers lol. They cost 40$ genuine parts what do you think it cost them to make?
free wheel is totally worth it for its price but not the pressure relief valve.
It absolutely isnt worth 200$. If I am not wrong, Assuming that I just spent over 500$ just for a free wheel and pressure relief valve combo package and few more bucks for new bolts but my oil pump assembly is still old as f and can die anytime soon due to old age? Not to mention it take few hours of labor to remove oil pump assembly
Atleast a new or remaned pump will last 100k-200k without problems.

If you don't like the price then don't buy it. Compared to a new oil pump unit at $1700+ it looks pretty reasonable (but that's just my opinion). Or you can get a $500 eBay unit that will last 100 miles, or take your chances on a junk yard unit.

As said, just don't buy it then, your wrong, but whatever.. Will make tons of other people happy, don't matter if your not happy with it, sorry[emoji19][emoji19]
