What size rubber would you run on 18x7.5? I can't do low profile because the roads here suck.

you might have rubbing issues if you run a 45 series tire on an 18. Are you lowered?

Yes I am. 2 finger gap. Should I run 235x40?

Thats the appropriate size. The roads here suck too. I'm on 17s and sometimes its a bumpy ride

235s might be a little wide for a 7.5?? You could probably run a 225 but Im just suggesting it Im not too experienced in the whole wheel/tire deal

235 is a bit wide, i think. i've got 235 running on 8.5's..

225 would be better

I just ordered some 225x40's. I'm guessing this is a more common size because they turned out to be less expensive than 235x40. [up]

ha well yea theres less rubber... Buying an 18" wheel is more then a 17" wheel, has nothing to do with popularity

225/40/18 is closest to OEM and would be more hubcentric and even, and won't throw off your Speedometer. I know 225/45/18s were the wrong size (higher sidewall) and my speedometer was slightly off.
