Lowering Springs For Audi A4 B8 Quattro Suggestions

Hi all,

looking for suggestions on lowering my audi a4 b8 quattro, im just looking to get springs being that suspension will be very costly,

Any suggestions on what to get and what prices am I looking at? also maybe suggestions on where to buy new or used ones? I live in Toronto, Ontario.

Algo I have 19/35/255 atm meaning I don't think I can do more than maybe 1.5 inches im guessing.

I too am in the same boat, except for I’m running stock 18s. I wanna get new wheels and tires, but think suspension should come first.

Depending on your current suspension (stock Audi vs sport Audi) springs are a good way to go. I’m putting H&R sport springs on my Audi sport dampers and am expecting about .5 to .75 inch drop.

I would not recommend putting lowering springs on standard shocks. Ride quality will be mushy/bouncy and your shocks will wear out much faster or blow out under heavy load in turns or over speed bumps.

Having done some research, low cost coil over set ups can be a gamble with durability and adjustability.

What shocks are you going to go with? I also have been looking at the H&R’s, but also wanted to invest in shocks, as you’re not the only one I’ve heard mention that.

I’m sticking with my oem Audi sport dampers and putting H&R sport springs over them. They’re still in really good shape, and I’m not in much of a position to spend more than $1200 on suspension. My goal is just to make my daily a little more lively.

You can find less expensive ones for around $400 or so, but I’ve heard mixed reviews on their durability and ride quality over time. Which could depend on what your intended use will be. Reputable sets are anywhere between $1k and $3k

ECSTuning or UROTuning. Solowerks makes some budget coilovers...

Maybe look around, there are tons of threads on them from back when they were released and more recently. I think with suspension, you get what you pay for.

Raceland coilovers 1.5 inch drop all around can go lower no problem
Raceland are a good option there not so pricey compared to others, I installed them my shelf like 5 days ago it went well and they seem to ride nice so far. Im very happy with the look, only made 4 adjustments and its sitting even all the way around. See how they last over the next few months I will update later but first impressions are I like them so far.

.You should have no problem in Toronto to get some lowering springs used even, try Kijiji or something for used, I lowered my car on Raceland coilovers there a cheaper option just check out there web site. Im happy so far with them good luck

You can buy the hardware kits from places like ESC tuning but I just reused the originals and had no problem, there's not much to it maybe 12 bolts for hole supension.
