Phone ringer and volume going to max

I looked around but didn’t really seem to see anyone else asking about this. As I’ve only had the car for two weeks I’m still learning things but maybe some of you that have had yours for a while can shed some light.

Every time my phone connects to the car via Bluetooth or CarPlay my ringer and volume both go to max on my phone and stay that way once I get out and the phone is not connected. It’s not a huge deal but I’d think that the phone should stay at the volume I had it set at and not just max out?

Does anyone else experience thins at all? Is there a fix to it?

I used these VCDS changes to normalize the volume between sources and it works great. There were a TON of options under this menu so it's likely that there's a setting or two specifically for the volume and the ringer (though there might be a MMI setting for ringer type [ringtone] and volume - can't remember).

Adjust Volume Defaults
Control Unit 5F
5F Adaptation menu
Audio Management Input Gain Generation 2

Satellite Radio - old: 17 new: -128
Radio (AM): -5
Radio (FM): -5
Satellite radio: -2
Media_BTDevice: -2

All others, like Nav inputs, leave at -128.
