Complete 20-hour paint correction and sonnax ceramic coating applied.
------------------
Condition
The car looks very, very good for its age and mileage. I like to disclose everything so I'll list every issue I'm aware of and include photos of all flaws.
- There are a few scratches and spots in the paint that the relatively mild paint correction didn't take care of back in January. The car was not wet sanded but rather compounded so it's possible if you were motivated enough to make the paint perfect, you could wet sand it and make it even better.
- One door ding near the side skirt on the driver's side. This must have happened recently because it wasn't there in January.
- Driver's seat plastic surround has some cracks in it. I was planning on gluing it back together.
- Driver's seat has minor wear on the bolster. Not bad for 100k.
- Steering wheel has a scruff across the front. I haven't made any efforts to fix this but it's possible that it could be scrubbed out. I just didn't want to make it worse so I left it.
- Front bumper lower section has some typical scraping and a crack underneath.
- Rear bumper has a couple of little scuffs but nothing major.
- Rear quarter panel has one scratch that goes through the clear.
- Driver's door handle has a couple of key scratches around the handle.
- Chrome grille surround is starting to bubble a bit.
- Normal wear on leather and floor mats.
- All four wheels have some curb rash. Could use a weekend of elbow grease to make them shine.
- Tires installed are Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.
- Car has never been tracked. Never modded.
------------------
Accidents
Two minor accidents to disclose:
8/5/2015 - 39,161 miles
No other cars involved, scraped against a low concrete guard rail on an exit ramp. The damage didn't look that bad but the repair shop insisted on replacing the passenger rear quarter panel. All repairs were done at Amato's Auto Body in San Diego (Audi recognized body shop and unquestionably the best shop in San Diego). Full repair order and photos of the car in the shop can be provided if you'd like to know exactly what was done. But there have been no issues with this repair in the 62k miles since it happened.
12/30/2016 - 61,910 miles
Car turned into my lane at low speed and their front bumper scraped along my driver's side door and quarter panel. This repair was for a new door and refinish of the quarter panel. Repairs done at Chris Amato's in Oceanside (brother of Paul Amato/Amato's, also Audi recognized and same quality work).
This was the only body work done on the car. The quality of the repairs was stellar and after the car has been paint corrected you will agree that it looks fantastic.
