Hey, im new to the audi scene and am interested in some feedback. I have recently purchased a 1999 a4 quattro with tiptronic. I would have prefered one with manual but it was a good deal so whatever.
I was wondering what you guys would suggest in getting started with performance upgrades. As in what type of exhaust and so on. The car came with 19" wheels and suspension so i am looking for a little more power. Thanks!!!![wrench]

For the man that wants a great sounding exhaust and a good price and a little extra (downpipe) you can't go wrong with Borla... Best sounding exhaust IMO... Get chipped!

Borla Cat-Back. Welcome to the zine. Sounds good for the price!

borla sounds great but if you're looking for more performance get Milltek. 2.75" vs. 2.25" with borla. However if want to keep it on the DL Borla is a great way to go and reasonably priced compared to most others.

Too bad 2.75" doesn't make much of a difference with a k03...

That's true. It all depends how far you want to go. I want to go BT so borla wasn't gonna cut if for me.

[up] this gives me a good starting point. Thanks!!!

definitely chip it first.

Actually, I say skip the chip and put together a used k04 set up. You'll be going there at some point anyway and BT really might test your tip trans so some people do shy away from a big turbo for that reason.

Find a used k04- $450
GIAC std. k04 s/w(it's called k05) - $400?
5bar fpr- $???

Oh and a tip chip would be nice.

That should be your foundation for power.
