View Full Version : should i have large lag untill 2500 rpm?

with my k04, im running a wett chip. is this normal for the k04? after 2500 all the power comes on.

yea... I have a K03 with a chip and N75J and I lag till around there. With the N75 it hits harder later but boosts later. Is 2500 that big of a deal? Thats pretty damn low

You should try a 500cc 2 cylinder motorcycle. The 82 Honda CX500T that I use to have had all sorts of lag. Even with a tiny IHI turbo EFI and air recirculation to keep the turbo spinning. about 6k is where that would kick in and the redline was I think 8,500.

He has a TIP too so that doesn't help with the lag...

For a K04 having all the power coming on after 2500 is normal. On a K03s you should be having power hit closer to 2000 RPM.

With my testpipe / exhaust and my intake, I see full boost (18psi) by 2100 rpm.

I don't think that is accurate. My K03 doesn't really deliver power until about 3100 RPMs.
