Hey guys, doing a diag on a friends 08 A3.
Issue is, drivers window is currently stuck up.. when using the drivers switch it will not go up or down, it has a slight click from what I assume is the module when hitting the button, but nothing else happens. All other windows work off the same switch. We have swapped the window module/motor out for a used one which didn’t work, assuming it might need to be coded in, and have removed tape off wiring looms that go into door trying to find a broken connection quickly but came up short. My new idea is to replace the door switch itself, and maybe dig more into the wiring. We don’t know if the drivers door or keys have been replaced because neither key works in the drivers door. The car also doesn’t beep when locking.
If you guys have heard of any solutions or ideas I would love to hear them. I guess this can be fairy common on older Audi’s.
Cheers

The window issue is most likely the switch itself. Mine did the same thing 2 weeks ago at 199k miles. Replaced the switch and all the windows worked. Now the other issue of “no beep” when locking the doors could be several things. Typically the alarm won’t beep if something isn’t shut all the way or locking. Check all the doors after pushing lock to see if any aren’t locked. If one doesn’t lock, the door actuator is bad. You can manually lock the door by turning the button on the door itself so the door actually locks.(if this is the actual problem)
