View Full Version : "Econ" light won't go off - no A/C?

I noticed yesterday and today (cuz it's been kinda warm) that the "Econ" button on my climate control is lit. It won't go off if I press it, and the A/C doesn't seem to work, regardless of how I set the temperature.
Anyone ever seen this? Is there, per chance, some quick and easy fix? Or is it truly blown up and due for it's second trip back to the dealer in as many weeks?

Hmm. What else happens when you disconnect the battery? Does that not lock out the radio as well?

this happened to me already.. basically something is up with your AC unit.. in my case they had to replace a couple different things in the AC area.. but ya.. take into dealer.. covered by warranty.. might take a day though.

Since you were kind enough to bump this...
It turned out to be a bad o-ring in the compressor high-pressure switch. Slow freon leak led to the compressor shutting down. They had the car for the day, but apparently it only took about 15 minutes to fix. Good as new.
