Hi Parker,

I'm talking about the front frame reinforcement brackets that were added in late 2010 build cars to correct a potentially catastrophic frame crack that occur.

It's pretty easy to check, you just have to remove the frunk trim pieces and take a peak. Here is a link that goes into the issue in great detail:

The front coil mounts crack on almost every 2010 R8 unless they have the welded in brackets.
Audi's fix if it is already cracked is cutting the chassis in half and welding on a new front... Basically a salvage title/insurance case 100% of the time.
