View Full Version : 2017 S7 Brake question
I am planning on ordering some 20 x 9 HRE FF01s and while ordering it asks me to select vehicle brake type and I'm not sure the difference between standard breaks and factory big breaks, my s7 has the sport package so which option should I choose or does it not matter?

The options should be iron or ceramic. If you have ceramic it says so right on the caliper. I'm not sure that there is a size difference though.

There is indeed a difference. Calipers are different size, shape, color.... and of course... COST $20K

The S6/S7 Rotors are 400mm
Ceramic Rotors are 420mm btw RS7 wave Rotors are 390mm
It doesn't say that, it only says standard or factory big breaks(Brembo, Akebono, or Baer). I'm not sure which to choose or what kind of brakes the ones on an S7 sport package count as.

I'd choose the factory big brake option so you have enough caliper clearance on the wheels. Our brakes are some of the biggest out there... Alternatively, just call the folks you are ordering them from and sort it out directly with them..

If you have an s7, go with the FF01 20x10.5 et35 and a 285/30 tire. Fits great and looks great.
I’ve been running that setup on my car for a bit. Starting to look at upgrading to forged wheels and will be selling mine if you’re looking for a used set.
