Does anyone happen to know the vcds security access code for a C7.5 engine module?

Is this for VCDS functions? If so, do you have you key in the dash or did you use the keyless function?

Yes, as stated in OP, vcds security access code. The vehicle is keyless yes.

Put the key in the dash and retry.

I'll try that, never heard of a key bypassing a vcds security access code before. I don't really understand how that's going to change anything though, the ignition (not the engine) is already on which requires the vehicle being able to detect the key.

RossTech states to reference the factory repair manual for the access code, but that most are one time use only. I encountered this when adjusting my mileage intervals for oil changes and inspections last year. I first tried with the keyless function and received the request for the code, then I tried with the key in the dash and wasn’t prompted for a security code. It may or may not work for you.

I'm assuming he means the area of the dash with the key icon.. You place the key fob there and you can start the vehicle even if the battery is dead in the key fob.

Holding key fob to dash does nothing. Need security code.

That sucks. Our cars are from different model lines, but mine has somewhere to leave the key in the dash vs. another proximity sensor.

Good luck

Indeed it does, because if I get the code...

I had always thought the Engine security code was specific/different for every car. Kinda like VIN.
What's the cool thing you can do if you had a code?

My Rosstech vcds code was 12345. So try that?
