Long time lurker this forum has helped me narrow my car search and in October pick up a 2014 S6 with 57k. Got a extended warrenty.
Car came with magnaflow exhaust sound good but might switch it up.
Took the car to Audi right after buying and let them look over car and they gave the car the thumbs up as far as visual and service logs.
The issue is and i didnt notice til last month was during hard take offs. It boggs hard going from 1st to 2nd and to 3rd. I haven't tried to 4th.
But normal driving and spirited driving it doesnt do it. Only when I have the pedal mashed down.
Maybe it's normal I havent been able to find during searching similar issues with the car.
The exhaust doesn't have the valve simulators so when I scan with VAG that's the only code that comes up.
All other system check out.
Any help before I send it to the dealer and they tell me they cant duplicate it so they cant help would be appreciated.
Guessing since you say there are no codes found.
Perhaps it is the transmission kick-down switch. Below the gas pedal. Since you say it only happens when you have the pedal mashed so I assume you mean when the kick-down switch is engaged.
If you push it to just before engaging the switch do you experience any issues.
While I understand the kick-down switch enables the trans to obviously kick down from a higher gear when flooring it, it may also signal the ECU/TCU in other unknown ways on upshift when the throttle is held with the switch still engaged.
Otherwise it might be the worst case scenario ie. turbo failure. Were they inspected when you bought it?

1st I want to thank you for teaching me something. I didnt know what a kick down switch was or that the car has 1.
So I did a few test and if I push down right before the hitting switch it is perfectly fine.
Car does run fine from what I am use to I guess. The turbos were not inspected that's the reason I got the extended warrenty that specify covers everything even turbos lol.
The car does pull hard to me. Is there anything I can test with VAG.
Thanks again.

I don't know that I can offer any more insight other than it is interesting that you have a problem during upshifts only when the kick-down switch is engaged.
You can check the status of the switch in VCDS. I don't know the specific measure block, but I am sure you can find it under the Engine module then probably advanced measure blocks and should be something like kickdown status. Then just press the accelerator and see if the status changes. If nothing changes then maybe that is the culprit and you need a new switch.

I ran a scan before testing kick down switch and ban 2 O2 sensor intermediate code came up.
It's a first so I did a rest and went for a drive. I should of tested the switch and went for a drive before resetting. But my drive was pretty perfect. Only 1 instance of a very slight bog going from 1st to 2nd and I was out messing around for about 45mins to a hour and everytime the switch showed activate as it should.
Did a O2 sensor log and the 1 sensor was should slightly less voltage they the other.
So I'll keep a eye on it. And scan the car more often.
