Thanks! I had this idea breafly yet dismissed it because I thought it looks kinda ugly, esp. when compared to the passenger side. Are you sure nothing should be there? Like some sort of a grill or something? Is this the way should have been from the factory?

If you get the bigger engine, especially the large engine diesels they have one each side.
