Hi,

As i had to replace my intercooler recently, I realised that the original I had in was sensorless and the one I put in has a sensor hole. My previous intercooler was busted (after wee crash) and I always heard air leaking from it when driving, understandable when you have gaping hole in intercooler. I have work done to car, exhaust, gutted cat etc, so now the car sounds like it's straight pipe (like them felty dturbos, 407 etc) with all sorts of turbo bovs, whistles of air leaking out from the sensor hole I assume. It pulls good and didn't bother checking if it throws up the code, pulls good all it matters. Logically just plug the sensor hole and good to go, but, I don't fancy currently buying a sensor just to plug the hole, leaving the country in less than a week so budget is on the weird side at the minute, I wondered, if I bought some gorilla tape (typical hey) and just cleaned it up nicely and plugged the hole that way, should be all right ey? Worse to happen it just blow the tape off and that's it? It's a funny one here I know, thanks nonetheless 😂

I stripped out the screws for the MAP sensor in my MK4 Golf TDI intercooler, so it kept popping out, a generous application of some plastic epoxy has it sealed up for over a year now.

Might be best to find a bolt or something that fits close and then build up the epoxy on it.
