What is the going rate currently for people getting dual pulley installation done if they already purchased Tune? I tried searching forum but only results i get are from more than a year ago so I'm wondering what the inflation would be for current market as what I've seen was quite a bit cheaper than what I was quoted. I was quoted $560 plus tax was wondering if that is fair for upgrading both pulleys. I'm supplying the parts so it's just labor charge I'm interested in. Thanks all in advance.

EPL recommends getting upgraded cooling for dual pulley so I was thinking about getting the High Capacity Merc HX and having them install that too. I just emailed the shop I was going to go to how much more the labor will be for that. If it's extensive I'll probably make an all day trip to APTuning and get it done there gas would only be $50 for the trip.

I recommend you install them yourself.

From having just shopped around for a single pulley install (and then really not enjoying doing it myself), that's actually pretty fair pricing TBH. At least compared to my local shops. It would have been 600 CAD for my crank pulley install. So 450 USD. 560 USD for both pulleys sounds fair to me.

Crank pulley install alone takes less than one hour, doing it from below. Maybe 30 minutes more to put into service position and put everything back. Add the s/c pulley upgrade, maybe 30 minutes more, if you are already in service position and your heated pulley is ready to slip on. The pulley removal tool I used was very slow. You must buy or rent a proper s/c pulley removal tool specific to our pulley. A general pulley tool will not work.

All said, that’s only two hours for both pulleys done together if you or the shop have the correct tools.

You have a few more pieces to remove at the front bumper/grill area to get to the HX, drain the coolant, and remove the crash bar. Then, mount the HX to the crash bar, replace the crash bar, run and clamp the coolant lines and put the car front pieces back on and return it from service position.

Then you have to fill with coolant and burp the system to evacuate all of the air and bleed the HX valve (if present) and the two s/c screws.

Maybe four hours to do all of it at one time.
