Can someone help me diagnose this problem?

I have a 2013 Audi S4 and for some reason, my car keeps overheating it is stock at the moment. I have noticed when I Drive highway speeds my car starts to run hot it goes up to 120 Celius and sometimes higher measured by obd11 So I pull over and check everything coolant level is normal, the engine is not hot, Hoses are not hot, and for the most part everything seems kind of cold it is around 37 degrees outside so there is no reason my engine should be even overheating. I have 76k miles and I am thinking it is the thermostat but I am not 100% Sure. When I drive normal speeds under 50 its ok when I go around 65-70 it starts to creep up. It goes down when I have my heat at full blast and will go back to normal temp. I do think something is wrong with my S4. I have checked under the car and there seem to be no coolant leaks and the water pump looks ok too nothing leaking from there I haven't performed a test to see if there is air in the system but I doubt that is the problem as I haven't disconnected anything from my cars cooling system. I would appreciate the help if anyone knows what this could be please let me know!!

Yes, it’s your thermostat that’s stuck closed. Two weeks ago it happened to me, same year, same milage, exact same symptoms.

Yup, thermostat, I'd stop driving it until it is replaced.

While you are in there look for any crusty dried coolant in around the waterpump or hoses...

If the car is not consuming any significant oil and since the car is a B8.5, the PCV may not need to be replaced. However, based on mileage on the car and how long the OP intends to keep the car,I would consider replacing the Water pump, coolant tube, and change the oil in the supercharger. You should do the PVC valve if you are keeping the car long term or have oil consumption issues

There’s separate supercharger oil? I feared that. Service interval on that oil?

oil supposed to be lifetime, but just for our bearings in the SC, specially on dual pulley setups, id flush that oil to be on the safe side

The supercharger oil supposedly life time, I changed mine at 67k miles and the oil was dark and stinky. The new oil is clear, no smells.

If the SC is off, just change it, it takes 5min

Once the SC off it’s like a 5 min job. There is a drain plug on the right beside the SC pulley, remove it and rock the SC up side down to empty the SC oil and just refill the whole bottle of fresh SC oil 150ml.

Here is the SC oil #G070 000A1 bought mine directly at the dealer, most expensive oil ever bought for 150ml🤑

GM Eaton supercharger oil part number = 12345982 is $3.39 per oz.
Audi Eaton supercharger oil part number = G 070 000 A1 is $7.33 per oz.

Removal sounds like the only way to do it?

There's a few threads on here about it. Not sure if there's an official DIY, though. I would recommend you measure what comes out and replace with that same amount of new oil. Don't just blindly dump 150ml in. You probably won't get that much out, and it wouldn't be wise to overfill it.

Yes, the SC must come off to drain and refill the gear oil.
