Hey all,

Just picked up my first Audi last week, a 2014 S4, very happy so far. Came from a BMW E46.

Quick question, could not find anything specific while searching around. The car has a ~4 year old tune2air bluetooth connection and it does not like my iPhone XS - the seller said it worked fine with his iPhone 6. Is there a way to update the old tune2air? If not, does the current version support an iPhone XS? I'm happy to spend the $90 on a new one, but want to make sure it will work.

If it matters, the car is non-nav and has the B&O stereo.

Thanks!

Tune2air did some firmware updates but they have been hard to obtain/install.

What is your issue specifically? The usability of tune2air is maximized when you are using Apple Music or iTunes rather than any other music app. This is because tune2air is essentially an ipod emulator and wants to use your iTunes or Apple Music above all else.

For me, with RNS-e and AMI (iPhone 8), it works OK. sometimes i want to track backwards on spotify and it goes forward instead, or switches to something in my itunes library unexpectedly. This cannot be fixed.

I did a free trial of apple music and the tune2air worked so so perfect. But I haven't been able to ditch Spotify just yet.

It's saying that it doesn't recognize the device, or can't connect - something like that.

It has connected to my phone once, and starting playing from iTunes. I have not been able to connect it since. Probably 5 tries over a couple of days.
