Gen2 3.0 have port injection?

I’ve been perusing the internets and seem to have stumbled upon this...
So the Gen 2 3.0 tfsi in the 2016s has Port injection as well as direct injection. Think this will reduce carbon buildup?
Also, I understand the supercharger can decouple at highway speeds to reduce fuel burn?

Anything else I should know?

Thanks! Tons of good info. So I guess we should see a little less carbon fouling on these versions of the 3.0...that’s good news.
