About 1 in 8 U.S. women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. Besides skin cancer, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among American women. In 2019, it's estimated that about 30% of newly diagnosed cancers in women will be breast cancers. As of January 2019, there are more than 3.1 million women with a history of breast cancer in the U.S. This includes women currently being treated and women who have finished treatment. This is an epidemic that touches all of us, mothers, daughters, family, friends and statistically many of us will be touched by it in some way.

Unfortunately this call for donations has a personal side to as well. Just over a month ago my long time girlfriend and Audi fanatic was diagnosed with breast cancer like too many women worldwide. She truly is an Audi enthusiast, whether she is in the woods, making it possible for us to meet Dr. Ullrich of Audi Sport fame or on track teaching me how to drive our S4 properly there is always an Audi around[race]
