2019? Pretty sure its not a total loss. You may have some slight frame damage, but a rear collision like that isn't necessarily a total. Lot less components to replace on a rear end. They would cut and graft a rear quarter on it. Wheel is ok, no glass damage? air bags? Your prob looking at 13k-15k. It used to be up to 60% of a new car price they would total. Not sure what it is these days.

The only downside when you go to sell it, it will have a record that it was in a accident
Better to getbit totaled

It’s a 2015. No air bags deployed. I figured a total loss because of the C pillar damage. Probably frame damage underneath.

I’d say totaled too. If they don’t total it and fix it make sure you negotiate a cash payment for the loss of value due to the accident.

My car looked about the same after it got hit. It was worth about 26.5k at the time and it was totalled.

You're not going to get that on a 5 year old car.

I may have to walk back my comment slightly. Turns out WI has a 6 year diminished value law.

You'll need to walk it back even further. In WI it's a 6 year statute of limitations. There is no limitation on the age of the vehicle you can claim diminished value on, it will just obviously be a lower payout the older a vehicle is, assuming it's not some seriously rare, valuable vehicle.

Insurance will probably total it but a great car for someone to buy and rebuild. Nothing too bad there there can't be undone and make 100% again if repairs are done correctly.

It was determined to be a total loss. $19,111.62. That was only damage that he could see. Adjuster also suspected other damage near the heat shield area in the rear underneath.

That sucks. If you could, keep us updated with the settlement value you get offered. Am very curious what insurance company offers for a 2015 these days.

I am looking for a replacement now. As far at the mods, they would not let me take anything. The insurance company factored in the Carbonio intake. The towing company would not let me work on the car in their possession due to "liability" issues, it has a Carbonio intake, spacers, and APR tune and it was lowered on H&R OEM sport. I talked to APR about transferring the tune already. It may show up on Copart soon!!

That's interesting. When my b6 USP was totaled I went to Copart and stripped the shit out of it! Even before it got there I took the first aid kit, caution triangle, CD changer (remember this was '04 lol) right from the towing company yard.
At Copart I took AWE exhaust off, side blades, swapped out the RS6 wheels for steelies, snub mount.... Everything. The only thing they docked me for the was the short shift. Prob because they grabbed the shift boot and it dropped down into the trans tunnel LOL!!

Insurance towed vehicle from tow yard to my house to let me get my personal belongings then towed it away to coparts...
Go get your items before you sign any paperwork over.

Was too much trouble to mess with. I don’t have any replacement parts to put on. Plus I’m not getting another B8.5. Getting a B9 S4.

Turbo charger on b 9 is less responsive than supercharged b 9 . Test drive before you buy. A newer model is not always better.

Very good payout. Also, make sure to go over every detail of the insurance payout. When my 2009 S5 was totaled they omitted some options even though it was a fully loaded prestige model. The difference was close to 800 dollars. I had to argue with a few people but eventually got the extra money.
