I've done some searching on the forum for normal coilover/suspension installation costs/good shops and am finding nowhere close to the $400-600 several people in Florida have claimed to pay for a coilover install or shocks/spring installs. I'm in the Tampa Bay area and just recently received a quote for $1500 which to me seems extremely high. Lowest I've found is $1050 which still seems like overkill.

I've called several places around town but am not seeming to have any luck. Before I bite the bullet and go with the very trusted Tampa shop that gave me the $1050 quote, I wanted to see if anyone had recs on another place to call or how much I should be paying to have the Bilstein B12 Gold Cup Kit installed (quick-strut front and shock/spring rears). I'm also happy to drive to Orlando if they can install it over the weekend.

Thanks in advance!

Where did you guys come up with? I also need some suspension work done on my '13 S4 and have the parts but am getting really high quotes for the labor in Tampa. Thanks in advance

Hello- Not trying to hijack but i need 1 or 2 control arms on my 13'. How much should reasonable labor be? I was quoted $1.1K for install. + $800 for 034. Almost $2K out the door...

Install times should be no more than 6 hours IMO, so 1100 seems crazy.

Always ask for the time estimate, then ask for their hourly labor rate. This will help you to shop around. Each shop should allocate the same amount of hours to the job, then you just have to find the cheapest labor rate. If you are going to Euro specialty shops, these guys might be working on some real exotic stuff like Porsche, Lambo, etc and can charge a fortune for it. I generally avoid those places. These B8/B8.5s are not really anything special to work on.
