Hi All,
I just bought a 2010 S4 prestige with all the bells and whistles. It came with a rear sunshade that's motorized along with the manual sunshades on the two rear passenger doors.
After doing research, this is something I found out was more of a 'package' in sunny spots like wehre this car originally came from, California! Pretty neat to have this car here in Northern Virginia.
But the car has two issues:
1 - The rear motorized sunshade isn't working right now. Motor runs but shade does not move.
2. Rear driver's side door sunshade looks to have possibly been ripped form the base and when pulled out isnt as 'tight' as it should be.
Does anyone know if this means the motor has gone bad on the sunshade in the rear? I read on some old posts that some people have actually gotten it to 'kick' back in and work properly after taking a terminal off the battery for a little bit to restart the whole system in the car.
I have been meaning to try this but won't have access to the car until the weekend. Keeping it at a friend's spot until I get it all registered. I don't have room where I live to keep it.
And my second question, how hard is it to take off the rear door panels to potentially replace the rear back left passenger sunshade?
