Jumping into the B7 A4 community - feet first - my journey begins...

I come from a Mustang background, but lately have gotten the turbo AWD world. A bit of a basket case A4 came up for sale in my neck of the woods and I couldnt pass it up. So I scooped up this 2006 A4 S-Line Quattro, 6 spd with 185k miles:

Welcome! First thing I would recomend doing is the cam follower. Replace it for peace of mind or diagnosis on how well the previous owners kept up with the maitainance

Welcome, it’s great to see someone migrating from 4 legged horses to the real world of car enthusiasts! I’m sure your legs/hips/back will also enjoy a luxury auto more then strapping on a saddle and mounting a “mustang”. Can you tell us the name of your mustang? Alwaysbeinggapped? Neverwins? Slowlikesloth? My niece at 8 named hers “honey” cause of “her colour and slow trotting that would remind you of honey flowing from a jar.”

So welcome and hopefully you can tell us something amazing about horses. Cause we all know here how easy it is to gap mustangs with a little grippy gecko.

Good to see another Mustang fanatic migrate to the B7! Welcome to the slow. I traded mine for an S3, and I miss it all the time! Mainly the sound, power, and proper transmission. [drive]

Not migrating. Just adding an A4 to the stable. My first passion is always going to be in the RWD V8 coupe arena. However, its more fun to drive a slow car fast than drive a fast car slow, so B7 A4, here I come!

That was a nice car. The track pack/performance pack S550 is a heck of a bargain.
