Which of Audi's many engine configurations is best? And by best I mean most powerful, reliable, and is easiest to maintain?

Thanks for your help,

Audiboy 22Thats really all relative, depends on the person and what all those things are for each person.

4.2 belt would likely be your best bet. SOLID NA power with the good 6AT no fsi so no carbon and no chains so engine doesnt need to be pulled belts are cheap and only needed every 75k

Highly reccomend checking out D3 A8 bedt looking Audi with 4.2 IMHO, the prefacellift is 03 to 05 but 2006 is the first year of the facelift and still has the belt they didnt switch to fsi/chain till 07.

Suggust sport package too vs the L even tho its a big car it can handle the twisties very well surprisingly.

Its also found in a few other models like the A6 but i think the D3 A8 looks best. Just got one not long ago and love it. Its better than my B8 A4 6mt sline stasis edition and is just as fast even tho my B8 is stage 2 and well modded.

I went to NY just to get this 06 black on peanut with sport package and push start snd Alacantra headliner.
It was worth the trip to get every single detail i wanted.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191008/4978fbfa90b5afbd22ad78a53b61d4c1.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191008/8bf185c7a6974113b97939f1b33c6f90.jpg

The 2.7t is the best at getting my my man bits fizzing. The 3.0t is probably the best dollar per HP ratio when it comes to bolt ons. The belt driven 4.2 is probably the best at not breaking. My thoughts, at least.

Any thoughts on the V8T or the V10? Does the turbo really help the V8? Did the V10 have issues, other than price, it wasn't around long?

Nice collection you have going.

Nice collection you have going. Both higher maintenence especially any TT motor. The NA are more reliable and older belts are the most reliable of all.
