Gs Gauge not working

So, My fuel pump was going out, The car would shut off when the red light would come on. So I get a OEM fuel pump from Audi, have it put in.....
All was fine for the 1st 2 tank or so, now the gauge reads 1 line short of fuel, but, the tank is full. This has been on the last 2 fill ups.

Can the float be bad?
Is there a sensor that covers that?

Does it eventually move to full?

I've had a similar issue from day 1, car brand new. Most times when I fill the tank, it goes only to 5/8 or 7/8. Sometimes if it's on 5/8, it will go up by a bar over a the next couple of miles. Sometimes it even drops a bit, but always ends up on full after a few trips, sometimes days later. Once it gets to full, it stays there and functions normally until I've burned enough for it to start dropping. My dealer couldn't do anything about because no codes or anything. They just told me to keep gas receipts and get videos when it happens. I couldn't be bothered with that noise and just got used to it. Now I just never expect to see full for a little while after a fill up.
