Are there any DIYs out there on how to remove and replace the center console sliding lid assembly, just below the HVAC controls?
The lid on my 2014 A7 is broken (doesn’t slide automatically anymore) and so I’m tracking down a replacement part to install.

This is for removing the entire center console but you can use it as a starting point

Thanks, will give it a go - I’m wondering if just popping up the front of the MMI console and then removing the HVAC controls will give me the access I need to replace the part.

Yeah speaking from memory, if you pop up the shift knob leather and pull the MMI controls up and out, you can undo the two bolts holding the sliding lid.
Then you can use trim tools to pull out the HVAC controls to give you more room to lift the lid unit up and out.
