Best time 13.35
1st slip I am on the left 2nd slip and 3rd slip I'm on the right
Now let me tell you my set up hopefully someone can help me see whats going on.
Ambient was around 90-95 degrees (kind of hot)
2012 Audi A7 Prestige 90k miles
EPL Stage 2 93 map
EPL TCU TUNe
(91 octane gas with 3-4 gallons of e85)
full tank of gas
Supercharger pulley upgrade
RKX sillicone intake hose
KN intake filter
stock height stock exhaust and everything else
the car was not pulling as hard as it should have. I was expecting 12s. I have the dual pulley going in this weekend and I'll hit the track again next week.
I got an engine code that I read via CARISTA (I know, i ordered a VCDS)
the code was P0089 not sure what it is but fuel pressure related.
my question is did i mix too much e85? I added more at half tank along with more gas. Would that cause such a code and a loss of power? i reset the code and it came back. I will dilute the mix more with 91 and try to reset it again
my technique for launch was
1) TC off Dynamic mode, Transmission in sport brake boost and launch around 2700-3000RPM
2) my best time came from this technique:
TC off Dynamic mode, Transmission in Manual, brake boost and launch around 2700-3000RPM and let the car shift at redline
I was disappointed with the times but I'll be back next week with a new heat exchanger, an upgraded crank pulley, and a dual pulley 93 map from EPL

I ran a best of 13.3@105-106mph on a A6 (C7)3.0TFSI with APR 91oct file only 3100ft elevation. The car weighted 4200lbs. These cars are very heavy.

did you have stage 1 or with a supercharger pulley too?

Work on your launch, getting below 2 seconds will yield you a much better time..
For what it's worth, I've run 13.3 -13.5 on other cars (non-Audi) consistently at the track and my mph was 105 -106 with 2.0-2.2 60' times, so I don't think you are getting that bad of a time based on your mph. The cars that I'm referring to were RWD and manual tranny, so there is definitely room for improvement, you should theoretically be able to get a better time with a nice AWD launch sub 2 seconds..

I have a pretty close setup as you do and my best time was 13.3 at 104 but I'm also running at 5500' in Colorado. Heat made the biggest difference in my times.

It doesn't seem like you have a heat exchanger either so that definitely doesn't help in such a hot weather.

That would be heat soak. You should get much faster down near sea level. I am Stage 2 dual pulley and run a 12.68 at 110 at a Density Altitude of 9200. If I don't turn the car off and open the hood for a good amount of time before a run I will hit 14 seconds. These cars are extremely sensitive to heat. Make sure your intake is in a box of some sort, isolated from the engine heat. Also with dual pulley most people recommend some form of cooling addition because that super charger gets HOT.
I have been battling your same issue for about 2 months now at the drag strip and the only way I have remedied it is to let the car cool down and turn the car off in the staging lanes. Here the staging lanes slope down to the start line and i turn the car off to roll it the whole the way until it is almost my turn.
Look into a heat exchanger. I also just bought a bigger water pump for the coolant loop that I will be installing. If it's over 85 degrees out my car bogs down hard so I am trying to fix that issue.
Finally, I agree with getting the 60' down, it helped me significantly and I got to 1.78s, be sure to push the throttle until you feel that little click at the very bottom while standing on the brake. Then dump the break quickly with a jerk of the leg.

that makes perfect sense. the car feels like a monster at night when its cold. it was frustrating at the drag strip, but now when i go back i will be dual pulley so i'll never know the true 1/4 mile potential of this setup. but yeah i have a merc racing heat exchanger being installed as well, do you think downpipes are needed? i hear a lot of people say theyre not and some say they are.
but yeah on another note I scanned the car and one of the codes was from the car running "too lean" so in other words I definitely mixed a little too much e85, maybe that messed up the times a bit as well. either way heat soak was a huge factor, its been hot in CA and i was driving the car all day before the track. that engine bay is like a sealed oven, gets super hot in there even from normal driving, the sticker on my strut bar has started melting off lol. Hopefully the heat exchanger fixes the heatsoak. what water pump did you upgrade to? I would like to do that as well. Does anyone think a vented hood would help cool down the engine bay? I have stock airbox right now, but I have an rs7 airbox coming next week. I always prefer a closed intake setup

What was the DA when you ran? I'm guessing between heat soak, unfavorable DA and those 60' times there is a lot more on the table.

Definitely either heat or something else. Consistently ran 12.6-12.8 with my EPL stage 2 single pulley - and thats WITHOUT the TCU tune. 80 degrees and I dont have an aftermarket heat exchanger.

Also what coolant pump did u buy?Hey, I got the CWA100-2. It's an AMG pump. You just have to build/buy a wiring harness and it works just fine. There is a whole thread on Audizine for the CWA100.

Yeah I saw that thread too but one thing I wasn't clear on is how much better the CWA100-2 and CWA100-3 are, would you recommend upgrading from the cwa100? I heard its a really good pump too

You should have the CW50 pump right now as that is OEM. I have yet to install mine, so I can't speak from experience but there are a ton of people running the pump. It may not keep temps down a whole lot but it should help in recovery from high temps. If you do the "Pump Mod" where you cut the wire and make it switchable so you can run your pump at 100% it may help as well. I don't think I will be going that route just yet.
