Hey guys,
So I remember back when Airlift didn't offer a bag set up specific to the C7 that some people were just using the B8 S4 bags.
I'm trying to find any and all information on the differences between the B8 S4 and the C7 with a 3.0T in terms of suspension.
I know the control arms, sway bars, and other things like that are the same parts. Are the struts/shocks the same? Is the B8's shorter? Do they mount to the car the same way or are the mounting holes slightly different.
This would be a huge help if anyone with any insight into this has any info they would like to offer up.

This is a tough one.
The parts may be similar, but I cannot definitively say the control arms are exactly the same in the front anyway. They have different part numbers so I'm inclined to think they are different. Maybe they are very similar and it is just a bushing or balljoint difference I don't know, but if they were exactly the same part they would show up as such between the two different models.
Many of the rear suspension parts do match between A6 and S4.
The upper shock mount does have a different part number, but again, unknown if it still might work just fine (different bushing maybe).
The shocks are undoubtedly different. Are they the same physical length...unknown.
Sorry I couldn't be more help.
Maybe reaching out to airlift or their dealers directly would give more insight to the differences between their C7 and B8 kits as their website does not indicate a single kit for both.

Thanks for the info. I know the oem part numbers are different, but companies like 034 sell their density control arms and market one product to the b8, c7, and even q5 I think.
I did find that b8 s4 airlift slam series mount to the c7 AVF ask you have to do is drill a hole in the rear bc the airline comes out of the top of the b8 bag, versus out the side like the c7 bag. And some people said they had to use b8 upper strut mounts on the fronts instead of the c7 mount to get it to fit perfectly. Otherwise they had no issues.

Just installedy b8 bags on my c7 a few weeks ago. Everything fits no problem. I feel like the difference is maybe the valving of the shocks and maybe shock.length? I know the back bag bracket is different from the c7. There's no doubt they're different kits but does the b8 kit work with no problems, yes
