Getting on the highway today accelerating to merge with traffic power cut out /misfiring and the CEL started blinking, let up and tried again same thing. Cruising under normal throttle was not an issue tried again when i was closer to home car seemed sluggish but no CEL.
Is this a precursor to the turbos shitting the bed? ODO at 51,200 Miles.
Can find my scan tool to check for codes, trying to get a hold of one to run a scan. will update post when Im able to scan.

could be as simple as a coil going bad.
need a scan tool/vcds to really know.
as for being turbos....id hope that a MY16 could do better than 50k miles since the screen is supposed to have been better than ones installed in MY13 cars, and those are typically getting 50k
Thxrick

Swap the coils of the affected cylinders to another cylinder to see if the misfire follows it.. If it follows then it's the coil, if it doesn't follow, good chance it's the plugs..

if you determine it is bad coils, they should be replaced as a set.
not sure how much its worth to you, but you might give a try to ask the dealer if they will cover it under goodwill warranty being youre only beyond by 1500 miles. at $350 for a set of coils+time (wether be yours or the dealers), it can add up.

Fuel level sensor? Did you run out of gas? Or almost out of gas?
I too have an rs7 and just rebuilt the engine (twice) due to a “misfire”

I had just filled up and was very low, 5 miles to empty.
Why the rebuild?

Try putting one fluid ounce of milk in the oil cap to ensure the components in the engine stay strong and healthy.

Plugs were (should have been) done under Audi care @40K.. will monitor and swap coils if it returns.
