Hey Audizine,
I recently did a pretty hefty overhaul to my 04 Allroad 6spd manual with the 2.7t. I pulled the motor, removed the SAI, changed o-rings, turbo CHRAs, valve cover gaskets, timing belt, clutch and flywheel, swapped the trans to a Euro TDI trans, rebuilt the rear half shafts, new exhaust, new slave cylinder, and new master slave cylinder. After all was said and done, the car runs great, gets the MPG I was hoping for, and still is really fun to drive. However, I have one MAJOR problem, and that is that I lost my cruise control.
I was wondering if someone could tell me if there is a sensor on the trans I need to double check, or do I need to recode the ECU for the euro trans? Or did I somehow accidentally mess with the switch that is touching the clutch, if so which switch is it, and was it happened to be held in place by a little metal U clip (I found one on the floor board with NO IDEA where it came from), which is why I am guessing this may be it.
Thanks for your help, it is much appreciated.
John
