I was looking at the 2019 maintenance schedule (https://www.audiusa.com/content/dam/audiusa/Documents/maintenance-schedules/Audi-Maintenance-Schedule-Model-Year-2019.pdf)and interestingly it now indicates a sport diff fluid change for the S6 and S7 every 60k miles on page 2. (And RS7 seems to be missing now.)
*Rear Axle, quattroŽ Sport - Oil and ATF fluid changes Every 60,000 miles RS 5, S6, S7 only (every 60k miles)

In past maintenance schedules it only listed the sport diff fluid change for the RS5 and RS7
*Rear sport differential - Change ATF for clutch hydraulics and differential oil (RS 5 and RS 7 only) (35/75/115k miles)

Logic dictates that obviously you should change the fluid on an S6/S7 same as an RS7. However when I had mine done the dealer specifically referenced the old maintenance info and said "The S6 doesn't need the sport diff fluid changed, just the RS7." Even though they are the same part and operate the same way. Again, logic dictates otherwise and I had it changed at 35k anyway...a job I later regret having done as they somehow messed up this seemingly simple job and destroyed my rear diff requiring replacement...(on their dime of course). But that's another story.

I assume we can take this several ways:
1- Audi mistakenly left out the S6 & S7 when printing the old service schedule. (Most likely as it was not standard on all years)
2- Audi purposely left out the S6 & S7 so it did not need to be include with AudiCare (at 35k mile interval at least) and the new interval (60k miles) is outside standard AudiCare.
3- Audi is ahead of the curve and are indicating intervals for the as yet release C8 S6, S7, RS7 possibly with a newer sport diff. (LoL...I almost fell out of my chair typing that.) No way this is the case.
4- Audi has no clue what the fluid change requirements should be for the sport diff. (35k then 40k or 60k or lifetime(yeah right}) This is a little disheartening from a German manufacturer.

Anyway, just though those with sport diff would be interested in this discrepancy.

Subscribed. Interested in what the hive mind has to say about this. While we're waiting, how in the world did they screw up a fluid change?!

I'd like to know too haha. I had my rear diff replaced under warranty at 46k miles and they said I wont be due for a rear diff service until 75k miles.

They didn't detail how they messed it up. Either wrong fluid or overfilled it. It started leaking fluid out the vent hole by the time I got home and making a whining sound when cornering.
They didn't even argue with me, just said "OK, you're getting a new sport diff..." That's like a $5000 mistake...minimum.
Pissed that it happened at all but bright side I had it done at the dealer as they covered their mistake. I'd imagine that mistake would be far more troublesome at an indy or if DIY you'd be F'd.

Yep 75k would keep you on the original RS7 schedule. I'd think since it was replaced at 46k you could actually go to 81k, then 121k...but probably easier to just stick with original vehicle miles interval instead of diff miles.

My S7 just hit 60k and I was wondering how to do this service myself or should I take it to the Stealership and have them do it. Any advice or have an example on how to do this myself?

Personally, I looked at the procedure (it was posted here somewhere), and decided it was more than I wanted to tackle. I just had the stealership do mine for me last week. I think there are $150 off service coupons that you can get through Audi USA or your dealership website that are good through November. I think I paid $335 after the coupon.
