Hey guys I have a 98 audi 1.8t a4 AEB engine code. My old stock coil packs started throwing misfiring codes. So, I decided to do the 2.0 coil conversion. I bought the kit off ecs tuning which came with the adapter plate and 4 new coils. Since it's the AEB engine code I had to get the 3 to 4 wire coil harness adapters and an ICM delete. I also put a new set of plugs in it. Well, after installing everything the car will start and idle real low rpm for a couple seconds then die out. Other times it will idle for a couple minutes and the die out. If I try to give it any throttle the car will stall and die out. There is no CEL also. Before I swapped from the old coils the car at least ran and drove but just mis fired and ran rough. So after checking fuses, and plug gaps I ended up taking the 2.0 conversion parts back off and tried putting the old coils set up back in, which did not make a difference. So now I have a car that doesnt run with or without the 2.0 coils. I'm wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem, or if anyone has any suggestions or info that might be helpful I would greatly appreciate. Starting to hit a dead end with it. Thanks for reading and I'm looking forward to any light someone may be able to shed on this subject, thank you.
